Jagdish temple is a large Hindu temple and one of the major attractions in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. It was built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651 dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Jagdish Temple is another marvelous structure built by the Mewar Dynasty. Moreover, the dome of the temple is designed with different sculptures of elephants, horsemen, dancers etc.
Furthermore, the statue in the temple of Lord Vishnu is a monolith carved out of black stone. Also there are four smaller shrines of gods including Lord Shiva, Ganesh, the Sun God, and Goddess Shakti.
The devotees can pray as well as admire the carvings, paintings on the wall both at the same time. (Remember to remove your shoes before you enter the temple, its compulsory!)
